Discover America: The Regions of the United States

Fulbright grantee Tiana Morris, will give a talk titled Discover America: The Regions of the United States. During this talk, Tiana will speak on the five regions of the United States. These regions have distinct geographical, climatic, demographic, and economic characteristics.
Come learn about the physical or cultural similarities or differences between these areas.

Tiana is originally from Long Island, New York. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Human Development from State University of New York (SUNY) Oswego in Oswego, NY. She also holds a master’s degree in International Education. Along with her MA, Tiana obtained a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate from The George Washington University.

Through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, Tiana will be an English Teaching Assistant at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Education for the next ten months. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest U.S. exchange program offering opportunities for students and young professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide. Aside from teaching at the University, Tiana will hold presentations and workshops with the American Corner about her personal and educational experiences as an American.
