American Corner Zagreb hosts Dr. Cody McClain Brown for a session entitled  What Makes a Good Blog Post. We will discuss why people believe fake news stories, how we can spot fake news stories, and why people even make fake news stories. As an experienced blogger Cody will talk about blogging and share some tips on how to create a successful (or interesting) blog.

Cody McClain Brown, PhD,  is the author of two bestselling books about Croatian culture: Chasing  A Croatian Girl / Propuh, papuče i punica, Croatia Strikes Back / Hrvatska uzvraća udarac. For four years he wrote a popular blog for Croatian Radio Television Glas Hrvatske / The Voice of Croatia. He has also led summer courses about business in transitional economies in Croatia for Loyola Chicago and Clarkson University. Currently he teaches English  for journalists at the Faculty of Political Science,  the University of Zagreb.
When he is not busy reading or writing, he enjoys playing video games, hiking with his dog and listening to music for old people (mostly from the 1980s).
