Important Croatian Women

Anne Talavera and Lydia Wilson, American Fulbrighters in Croatia for the 2013-2014 academic year, collaborated with the American Corner and the School by sharing their culture through lectures and presentations on a variety of American studies topics. In return, encouraged by this cultural exchange, the American studies class gave a presentation to continue the dialogue and share Croatian culture with American guests.

The presentation entitled Great Croatian Women: Our Choice included the following renowned and prominent Croatian women: Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, Marija Jurić Zagorka, Dora Pejačević, Janica Kostelić, Ana i Lucija Zaninović, Ruža Tomašić. The students introduced famous Croatian women in the world of literature, sports, music and politics through biographical sketches, readings and a musical performance.
