Madeline White - Vice Consul
Madeline is a U.S. Diplomat who joined Embassy Zagreb in December 2021. She grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has always had a passion for social justice, international affairs, and foreign languages. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and majored in Psychology and Hispanic Linguistics. In college, Madeline completed a year-long exchange program in Montevideo, Uruguay, as well as several volunteer projects in Brazil and Honduras. After college, Madeline returned to South America and worked as an English as a Second Language teacher for several years. Prior to joining the State Department, she also worked as a research assistant for the Center for Women’s Health Research in North Carolina. Madeline now serves as a Consular Officer in Croatia and was recently the U.S. Embassy’s Federal Women’s Program Coordinator. She speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Croatian.
