Hip Hop as a Social Movement

The presentation will cover: A brief introduction into early hip hop and why it was created. Then moving closer to text of the songs to look at the message of the hip-hop artist. Lastly, discussing the word play and rhymes that make hip-hop, hip-hop. 


Kahlil Epps graduated from Grinnell College with an English Major. Kahlil is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Zagreb for 9 months. He grew up in Washington D.C. swimming and volunteering in his community. He has a passion for writing poetry.
