Hour of Code: Robotics Workshop

Hour of Code: Robotics Workshop for Kids at two library locations
 
It is a beginner's workshop for children, ages 7-11, who do not have any previous experience with robotics. Students learn how to build and program robots using the LEGO EV3. They learn basics of robotics by engineering and programming their own robots.

The two workshops will be held by the librarian Goran Janeš at the American Corner Zagreb, Knjižnica i čitaonica Bogdana Ogrizovića, on December 7, and at the American Corner's partner library, Knjižnica Jelkovec, on December 9. With its partner library the American Corner promotes the robotics education among children, ages 7-11.

The first workshop is organized for a group of 2nd grade students from the J. J. Strossmayer Elementary School, Zagreb. 

The Hour of Code, a one-hour introduction to computer science, takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. The 2016 Computer Science Education Week takes place from December 5 to December 11.
