This lecture will examine several different points within the disinformation ecosystem. Fake news, propaganda and misinformation are parts of the larger problem of misleading the public. How much does culture play a role in adopting false messaging?
Charlie Gee, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. He is a 2018 Fulbright Scholar teaching that Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. His research interests include technology and news gathering, backpack journalism, and journalism in popular culture.
