Dictionary Day: Merriam-Webster Dictionary – past and present

In celebration of the Croatian Book Month and Dictionary Day, the American Corner hosts a group of high school students attending American Studies extracurricular course at Gornjogradska gimnazija for a language workshop entitled ''Merriam-Webster Dictionary – past and present''.

Every year during the Croatian Book Month the American Corner prepares a language workshop in celebration of Dictionary Day, dedicated to Noah Webster, the father of American dictionary.

During this year's workshop, the high school students and the American Corner coordinator will explore Noah Webster's life and achievements. They will experience the benefits of new technology, and creative pathways to building word power.
